About Sule Yigit

Şule Yiğit was born in Ankara in 1979. She studied economics in Istanbul University. During her university education she has been an active member of the Painting Club in Istanbul University Student Culture Centre. She has joined group exhibitions in the exhibition centre of Istanbul University Student Culture Centre, Taksim Art Gallery, Galery X and in several university campuses in İstanbul. Besides painting she has also designed posters, theatre accessories and illustrations for children books. She had two solo exhibitions in Istanbul. Since February 2006 she has been interested in scuplture. She worked with William Flynn and Gerry Hoag at School of the Museum of Fine Arts in America, in 2007 Fall Semester. Also she is a member of HIAA (Helsinki International Artists ‘ Association). She is currently working and living in her own atelier in Istanbul.
